the biggest issue society has to manage is whether they're ok with 12 people owning 90% of everything.

I love how everyone that helped create the monster wants to warn us about it later. It’s like an admission of a crime

I don’t feel a gap in understanding the risks of AI. I feel a gap in the power to do anything about it.

I’m sick of this. Chasing money. Life was so much better before social media.

Every time he asks these people what they would advise the everyday people to do, their children or grandchildren to do professionally, they never give us even the slightest answer! They are going to make sure their own families are taken care of. Not us. There's no point in even watching a lot of this. It's just gloom and doom but no real answers to help us everyday people.

The irony of a good conversation about the dangers of AI taking over our lives, while EVERY SINGLE SPONSORED message was shoving an AI product down our throats.

Interesting no one actually thinks it through until it affects them personally

They thought of it. They examined it closely. They knew. They knew we'd know that they knew. They didn't care and they (probably) still don't.

Introversion does not mean someone is a hermit. It generally means they get recharged with alone time and drained with superficial socializing.

What scientists like him never seem to take into account are the human factors of greed, corruption, and selfishness when developing new powerful technologies. The first thing humans do and have always done with every new technology is immediately figure out how to weaponize it and hurt each other in a quest for domination. In short, we are a selfish and immature species. So it's absolutely no surprise that AI has learned to do the same thing in order to preserve itself. It will be a miracle if we survive our technological adolescence without destroying ourselves.

What's the point of giving us awareness of something we , as in the rest of fucking humanity, can do nothing much about.
