As a US Army vet that served in NATO I wish to apologize for what a vile, disgusting and disgraceful country we have become. I’m heartbroken and angry. I hope Europe closes all of our military bases there soon. I encourage them to end all trade with us and look to China for global trade and partnerships. Permanently. The world would be more peaceful and vastly better place without the US and Putin for that matter. I live in Washington state and my greatest hope is we either join Canada or start a new country with Oregon and California called Pacifica. There is no return to normality after Trump for many of us here.

America's being left behind. And it doesn't matter if a rational Republican or Democrat comes to office and reverse what Trump has done. The lesson is America doesn't have the institutions to stop another strong man from doing what Trump did again, they also know 30 percent of the US population are not friendly to the world and believe in supremacy over collaboration.

As a European, I must say I don't think many Americans understand the severity of Trump and his actions and of what consequence they are. Trump has turned America from a close partner and ally that Europeans admired, into a an unreliable nut house out to hurt you. Trump has single-handedly destroyed the image America has built up over generations. America didn't become this prosperous nation through isolation and unlawfulness, but through cooperation, reliability and the rule of law. People around the world were shocked by Trump during his first term, but were hopeful it was an unfortunate fluke and that people would come to their senses and see who and what he is. But when he got elected again, it was a clear sign that America has suddenly turned into something it has never been before. It has more or less turned into the very thing it has been fighting over the past century.

People keep insisting, ‘We never saw this coming’ or ‘We didn’t vote for this,’ and honestly, that’s just not true. Nothing was hidden. He said exactly what he planned to do — plainly, repeatedly, and without subtlety. The real issue isn’t that he misled anyone. It’s that they chose not to listen. They weren’t blindsided; they ignored what was right in front of them

Canada boycotted. The EU should do the same. There is a lot of power in the hands of consumers. Here in Canada we check labels on EVERYTHING, and we have apps to scan items to see if they are trying to hide that the items are from the states. The power is in your own hands. 🇨🇦 ❤🇪🇺
