Invading Greenland would be the very definition of obeying an illegal order.

The USA has no real allies left. Even though there are many great Americans. This will take generations to repair no matter what happens at this point

I’m from Denmark … and I’ll tell you what: anything short of an impeachment of this administration will destroy what is left of this so called western alliance.. you have no idea what Europe is thinking about you right now.

As a Dane and a European: This is something that will take years to overcome. When a friend constantly threatens you, you lose faith and would be foolish to ever trust that “friend” again. I know many Americans do not support the regime they themselves have elected, and that there are many reasonable Americans out there. But this situation is a deep and heartbreaking betrayal that won’t simply fade away with the next news cycle.

We USED to have more than a dozen military bases in Greenland, fully staffed by US military personnel and ready to defend the island against any threat. Over the last few decades those bases were downsized and eventually shut down, all except for Thule. At any time the US could choose to reactivate those bases and start deploying troops to Greenland in the interest of defense. All they need to do is give Denmark a call, give them a heads up, and ask permission. Under obligation by NATO and treaties between the US and the Kingdom of Denmark outside the scope of NATO, that permission is almost certainly guaranteed. There is ABSOLUTELY NO REASON to invade Greenland (and by extension Denmark) for purposes of "national security"!!

One of his cronies recently asked what right Denmark has over Greenland - just because they arrived there one day on a ship. Oh, the irony.

4:50 Let me translate Trump here for you "I've been told there are many natural resources in Greenland and I would like to help American businesses extract them without impedence."
