idk if you read all of these comments. but i got sober recently, went through a bad breakup a month ago, and have been trying to dopamine detox to better my life. deleted all my social media apps last week and have been trying to find ways to manage with the "boring" times inbetween as i reset my brain chemistry. your video popped up, i watched it all, and i really resonated with how you explained everything. i then got up, worked out at home, used that momentum to put all my laundry away, and ended up cleaning my bedroom and bathroom at home. i can confidently say i'm feeling more present and cognizant of my surroundings than prior. i rarely comment on videos, but in case you see this, just wanted to say thank you for making this - you made an impact

unironically, a great way to practice this at first is to poop without your phone

"You are not broken, you are just a little overstimulated."
That phrase hit me much harder than I'd otherwise expect

something i really appreciate about your videos is that they're not focused on hyperproductivity. the world would be a better place if everyone went a little more slowly.

It is so refreshing to watch a video that doesn't have edits every few seconds β thank you for keeping in the pauses and small mistakes. It's far more honest than most.

Iβm the same with funny Instagram reels. Itβs like a slot machine. Another pull, then another, then another. Hours go by and then the overwhelming guilt of having absolutely wasted all that time.

as boring as it might sound, a proper consistent sleep schedule is a pillar to make your life full of ease and energy

I feel like we are more susceptible to falling in the dopamine hole when it's wintertime. We get no sun, have way too much pressure and work in months where we should rest significantly more than allowed - so we compensate with easy and fast dopamine sources. Perfect timing mate appreciate the video.

When I was working as a mechanic, I'd schedule quick, mundane jobs in between difficult jobs.
Helped keep attitude and energy positive.
If I got stuck on a problem, I'd stop for a bit and sweep up the shop or something similar.
It's odd how taking your mind off a problem can lead to a solution.

I donβt even mind you talking slowly. My problem with most long-format videos is that 90% of whatβs being said has nothing to do with the topic and is just filler. But every sentence you say is informative and relevant, so keep going at your pace! I enjoy listening to you for longer! π
