They discuss what attracted him to this story, which follows a devoted company man who is fired and directs his rage toward his competitors on the job market, and the similarities between the plot and his own 15-year struggle to get the film made. In an age of intolerance, how great is it to see an interview with a master director who does not communicate in English that gives him the time and space to answer thoughtful questions in his native language. Yes, there is so much great comedy here but there’s so much about this interview that is refreshing, encouraging and inspiring. Well done!

koreans are the GOAT of filmmaking. US may have made filmmaking what it is, but Koreans are obsessed with perfection. Koreans accomplished what we can’t, meaningful art in an age of loneliness.
