Brian Eno, Laraaji - Ambient 3 : Meditations [Stretched] (HQ)

Tato Schab
Open in YouTube
Two finals tracks from Ambient 3 : Day of Radiance. Meditation 1 & 2 are different; more in keeping with the "ambient" style featured on the rest of the series. These are slow, meandering beatless compositions performed on the zither, with the dulcimer adding the odd highlight. Eno's tactic in these two pieces is mainly to electronically highlight the zither's naturally long decay-rate, creating a highly ethereal sound. 3 Hr Stretched High Quality Time Get the original album on Apple Music https://music.apple.com/mx/album/day-of-radiance/714416645 All the rights belongs to Brian Eno and Laraaji

On college radio in the 80's I'd play a Cocteau Twins track at regular speed the immediately after play same track at slower speed and no one ever noticed

Many people I know aren't fond of this music and find it odd and even hate that I enjoy it. However, reading the comments fills me with joy, and I'm delighted to share my appreciation for it.

I’m putting this on as I’m making breakfast and the sun’s coming up on a bright autumn day. Perfect. Thanks.

I had Music for Airports playing simultaneously with this and didn't realize until I paused one. Actually layered quite nicely.

This music sandblasts the ego. Cleans away the veneer. Reveals the base wood of the soul.

I listen to this album when I'm in the shack at the back of my property doing the things that make me feel like god.

I have this on vinyl but I prefer this stretched version. I’ve been listening to this on my cell at a low volume when I go to bed. Lulls me right to sleep. 🛌 💤

The beginning of the heat in mid-spring Australia - clear sunny days without the heaviness of humidity. Pacific Ocean calmness. This is perfect.
