I've only ever seen someone fold top pair once (to me) at my casino. It was on a double paired, flushed board 😂😂

Yes I have a full house here and I see that my opponent has king queen I'm jamming in and I'm expecting to get called.

yea this advice f'd me over when a guy bet 20 into a 100$ pot with quads and i had a flush and i reraised the river and he doubled my bet on the river
@paulmayer8654
“This is a stupid play”… yeah, because it looks really bluffy
@DavidCulhane1992
Or villain is a good player and knows our range is weak and is just trying to squeeze out a little value with the nuts
@aaaascdll8284
If I jam that spot my opponent would snap me with a boat there, even with a flush, sometimes people mix up that blocking river bet with super nutted hands, and it is a solver thing too

I did this exact line last night to bluff the villain and he only had top pair, normally I get the fold but this villain was tilted at me so he called 🤣

Maybe this is a high stakes move... maybe? It rarely works in the 1-2, 1-3, 2-5 games in my area. Maybe "good" players with way higher stakes fold here. When it has worked, I've only done it to a decent regular who at least "kinda" thinks. Unknown full-on rec players, drunks, calling station regulars--there are some who don't fold anything, not even their own clothing. It's key to ID them. I get them by just betting with a winning hand, but theyre not getting bluffed or semi-bluffed if they hit something. I've "conditioned" a few to lay down to a triple-barrel, but that's ONLY when I'm near certain they're drawing/missing.

Come on man after you checked twice most of the people going to prubelly call with ace king
@sanderbrouwer91
Yes its very stupid, its only good to win some Marc dolhairs. I can't buy anything with that
@crosbymessi
I mean its either pocket 10s/ kings or a bluff here. You have no flushes in your range as you checked flop, and most likely no kingx as well. Opponents range is capped at top pair. You’re right i would definitely not recommend making this play at low stakes. Most of the time you’re going to get called 😂

But shouldn´t we assume, that our opponent knows, that, if we had pocket 10s, we wouldn´t want him to fold KQ? So shouldn´t we just use the sizing we would use with pocket tens? So that our opponent assumes, we want to keep him in the pot? Maybe going slightly, like 25% bigger than that, so that it doesn´t become ridiculously small, of course. Just thinking out loud. But I get of course, than the bluff still might not work at all.
