I find myself with a broad smile when I see the front of your cottage. It reminds me so much of home - except my home was built of granite. We were totally off grid on our tiny uk island (Scilly) until 1984. We had a life similar to the one you are trying to achieve. I have always, always wished to go back. I love your new kitchen! Again, just like home. Dad built everything from old stuff. We only had 2 taps in the house and a massive “copper” which we used for washing and baths. We were so short of water always that a copper full of water did the family washing, then the family baths! Thank you so much for sharing your dreams with this old lady from Scilly, Uk ❤❤❤

Hi Anders, Yesterday my 7 yo child asked if there was another video of 'the guy that builds his own house'. He loves watching your build your own home and he was fascinated with your kitchen. He said: "I have always wanted to do this! We have to give him a thumbs up! And also click the bell! (I already did that)". Very nice job on the kitchen. I absolutely love that large sink and all of the storage space you have with the cabinets and open shelving! That’s an excellent idea to put the refrigerator in the cold room! It will help the unit not to work as hard to maintain the temperature inside plus it will keep the noise out of the house. I have a small home and limited space in the kitchen. I moved my refrigerator out of my kitchen and into the adjacent laundry room to make more room in the kitchen. It’s just as convenient having it in the room next to the kitchen.
