Came across this artist while reading Michael Connelly's "The Black Echo".
Putting the book away, got the tablet and thanks to You Tube there he was playing Soul Eyes.

trane is so famous for his inspired passionate late recordings which pushed the possibilities of jazz into new heights...
but he was already GREAT when he played mainstream post-bebop "normal" jazz.
